She's a dog after my own heart...

Oh PJ Joey loves the shrimp about as much as I do. We think she snagged a few behind our backs.

But more importantly, it sure was nice to have Caleb back in the house after he did a week of Night Float on his OB rotation. He was getting home as I was leaving for school, and just about as I was getting home from school, he was leaving to go back to the hospital.

I'll leave you with some more pics of him frying the shrimpies with his companion at his side...

I would also like to point out that whenever I try to fry anything it is a complete and utter disaster! No seriously, I nearly burn the house down every time and the food either comes out charred or the batter stuff has completely come off and is floating all nasty in the oil.

Caleb however, is seemingly an expert on everything and so of course he is a pro at frying- look how good his first batch turned out- not fair!

24 Hours

Caleb had his first 24 hour call this past weekend. He had to be there at 6am Saturday morning and he got back home 6am this morning.

He slept for about two hours, and I waited until the very last minute to wake him up for Sunday School. We would have skipped altogether, but it's our first sunday as teachers in the High School youth group.

He has 10th grade boys and I have 10th grade girls. I love my group already- we talked about spiritual goals for this new school year and looked up verses to help us with those goals. Caleb's group designed their fantasy football league.... but we're both just glad that the boys talked! When we "observed" two weeks ago none of the boys said a thing, so we're glad they opened up at least about football today, haha!

Also I put some new pics up on the photo blog if you want to check them out! They are of Susanna's wedding and then of the Anthony's new baby, Sally Sharp.

Susanna looked so happy and BEAUTIFUL all day- the most laidback bride I have ever encountered. It was so fun to be there with her.

Sweet little baby! And I love that name- Sally Sharp! Has such a nice ring to it.

Have a happy week everyone! I hope it's cooler where you are than it is in my portable at school! (think heat advisory + 36 people crammed in a room.... Does not equal awesome.)

Baby!

Bahahahaha! We're not pregnant. But Caleb delivered one the other day! It was a boy and he doesn't remember the name which bothers me because I would want to know the name. Anyway, this is the first week of his OB rotation and it is long hours already! Boo long hours, but hello adorable babies!

It was also the first week of school for me, and it went fine. It was an adjustment having to wake up at the crack of dawn again though that's for sure. I've been in my room by 6:30 every morning, and school starts at 7:15. That is just too early for school to start. But my kids are precious and I think it will go all right this semester. I am very lucky. Oh I also had lunch duty, and of course there was a fight "under my watch." Fun times, fun times.

School Eve

Well, here we are.... the day before I have to go back to work. Gone are the days of sleeping til 10, watching talk shows all day, and being a stay-at-home mom to PJ Joey.

I also think I'm the only faculty member who hasn't gone up to school to pick up my schedule... I'm sure that looks really responsible.

In other news, I made Caleb take Glamour Shots with me. Yep, it's true. A bit narcissistic? Perhaps, but I don't care. I love them. Basically, the more I was taking pictures for other people, the more I wanted some of US, so Caleb actually agreed to it (plus, we never did any engagement pictures before we got married, if that helps, hahhaha).

And finally, Kacie and Stuart got married this past weekend. It was an outside wedding and there was a heat advisory, but with that being said, the wedding was absolutely PERFECT. Seriously, I loved everything about it. Here's a sample pic, and if you're bored, there are more on the photography blog.

I hope everyone had a great summer because IT'S OVER!
