Why am I just now doing Cheese of the Month!!!!

Sorry for being such a cheese slacker! Without further adieu (is that how you spell that??), I present to you the Cheese of the Month for MAY:

ASIAGO

Is anyone still on this cheese journey with me? If so, go get your wedge of asiago, asap. It's delicious! I bought mine yesterday and I just want to attach the grater to my hand and wander aimlessly around the house, grating it straight into my mouth.

So far, all I've used it for is to make bread even better, but here are some recipe links if you want to give it a go:

6,000 students

Mrs. Mullin, Baker's Drama Teacher is retiring this year after 40 years in the classroom. We did the math, and she has taught an estimated 6,000 kids. That is a small town! Seriously, you cannot go anywhere around town with her without at least a handful of people recognizing her from when they went to school.

When I was first hired at Baker, she was assigned to be my Teaching Mentor. She took me under her wing, and has taught me A LOT.

Only two more weeks of this school year to go! Then I will be on to my summer schedule in which I watch TV all day long. Seriously- that's all I do. And it. is. awesome.

Bailey's Bachelorette Weekend

June 4 is on its way, but first we celebrated with just the girls in San Destin this weekend. I wish I had a better picture, but her super sweet wife beater had a picture of John the Fiance on it, and she is wearing a huge tutu. The netting headpiece created about a 3 foot bubble around her which was not conducive to boogying on the dance floor but sure looked darn hilarious.

All the gals had buttons with John's face on them too. SO FUNNY! I kept mine and don't tell Bailey, but I'm probably going to wear it during the wedding ceremony. I'm sure she won't notice....

And here she is at the Lingerie Shower portion of the weekend. Isn't that a fabulous moo moo I bought for her? I seriously kind of want one....

Ghazal, anyone?

My Creative Writing class had to put together individual poetry books containing 20 different styles of poems. The requirements included haiku, senryu, ghazal, sonnet, ballad, idyll, cinquain, and MUCH more. Here they are doing their "readings" in our Coffee Shop share time. Snaps to them all. And they are all glad that they will never have to write a terza rima again. That was the most hated poem format this year.
