400 eggs... three kids... good odds.

The Rudds were kind enough to include us in their family's Easter Egg Hunt again this year. The above picture captures my egg hiding skills.
Out of the gate... the race is ON!
Then on to the Adult egg hunt where there is money to be found. We take it very seriously and tackling is encouraged.
Between the two of us, we brought home $10.50! That's enough for both of us to get some frozen yogurt at Chill, our new favorite treat.

St. Louis Pre-Project Visit

Check out my sweet ride for this year's pre-project visit:
Yes..... I drove this hoss on the interstate in the RAIN with 15 adults in the backseat. It was not my finest hour, but no one died, so I guess we'll deem it a success.

Here we are at the famous Ted Drewes custard shop. They hand you your ice cream upside down and none of it falls out. I think Bop's is just as great.
Here we all are at the meeting of the minds... church planters meet with the group leaders.
Noah and I were laughing at how much has changed since our first project three years ago. We had ONE group leader show up. This year we had 22 people, not counting the church planters.

Power Plant St. Louis is June 20-24. Keep it on your prayer list!

What's a Weekend without a Wedding?

Continuing our wedding travels this season...... the marriage of Cara to Charles, both friends of Caleb from High School. The ceremony was held outside at a Farm at the top of a bluff. All of this equals amazing wedding venue. Here's our view from the back row (and I had zoomed my camera all the way in):

We didn't see any of the ceremony, but I think you get the idea from the picture. It was such a perfect place to get married! I loved it. Another thing I thought was particularly touching was that their Dads married them. I guess they got their license to have the "power vested" in them, but it was really neat.

Here are our wedding buddies Tyler and Arielle. Caleb asked an 8 year old girl to take our picture so please excuse the full body shot.

After the wedding, the four of us were wanting to do something fun, but since we're old we're not really sure what that is anymore. We attempted to see a movie but nothing looked good, then Arielle thought of the perfect place and voila it even had a cheese sampler on the menu. Hanging out success!

Yum. We had the best time hanging out with the Harneys and their loveable yet slightly possessed cat.

Next stop: St. Louis, I'm posting from there now. Then Easter and then we continue our weekly wedding festivities with Bailey's Beach Bachelorette Weekend. Stay Tuned.

Everybody Loves Bailey

Caleb and I drove to Brandon again this past weekend for bridal showers galore honoring my cousin Bailey and her future Hubs, John. Please look at all the Hostesses for just ONE of her showers....

The house where the shower was held used to be home to several peacocks. Ms. Roberts still had their feathers as decorations all over the house- I thought that was really neat.

The Bride and Star Bridesmaid:
My Mom, me, Nana, Bailey, and Aunt Tammy:
I have never been to a shower where there were so many gifts! It was amazing.
This is just ONE of the cars packed to the brim with wedding presents.
Here we are gathering to open all the beautiful gifts...Every time 50 presents were opened, we did the "50 Gift Dance Stretch." We were able to do this Dance Stretch several times!

Here's Mrs. Gail making a Bow Bouquet.
And after four hours of opening gifts, here we are with several bow bouquets, haha.

Prom, 5K, Painting... it was a weekend.

The Mister and I went to HS Prom last weekend..... as chaperones- how DORKY is THAT??? I don't care, it was fun. No, we didn't slow dance together in the middle of the dance floor (even though a lot of Boyz 2 Men songs were being played- newsflash: high schoolers weren't even born when that song came out).

Here's me and one of my shining stars. She's been in two of my classes now, plus I teach her in Sunday School. I really am lucky to have such sweet students.

And in case you are thinking how spinster-y I look in the picture above, take a walk down memory lane of what I wore to MY Prom:

Thanks Heather- I ripped this off your blog.

Caleb and I left Prom early, around 10: 45 before things got too crazy. We were scarred forever by the "dancing" we witnessed last year. Plus, Caleb had signed us up to help staff a 5K across the Bay Saturday morning. Here we are bright and early in Point Clear at 7am:
Our job was to tell runners where to turn around. We did so very enthusiastically, I might add. We kind of feel like our energy gave runners a second wind. We also determined that technically we did the 5K since we had to walk out there and walk back.
After the 5K, we had a Girl's Sunday School Painting Party. Fun fun.

In other news, as mentioned in the previous post, this month is dedicated to goat cheese. Last night I made the pizza I wrote about and thought I would share a quick pic. It was really good, and I was surprised to hear Caleb liked it too since it's kind of froo froo. Looking forward to a weekend in Brandon filled with showers galore for Bailey and John! Whoop!

Cheese of the Month for APRIL

GOAT CHEESE!
I went on a goat cheese kick two years ago and when I was at the grocery store picking out this month's cheese I knew had to go back to an old fave. I love goat cheese so much and you should too. After the brie debacle, I needed a safe bet. Oh and I still have basically the entire wheel of brie left over which I will be making a dish with soon, so this month is going to be super cheesy.

My go to goat cheese dish is Shrimp Pesto Pizza and it is really easy:
**on your crust, spread pesto then top with cooked shrimp, goat cheese, red peppers, and romas. It's amazing and you look like quite the gourmet chef**
