The Mister and I went to HS Prom last weekend..... as chaperones- how DORKY is THAT??? I don't care, it was fun. No, we didn't slow dance together in the middle of the dance floor (even though a lot of Boyz 2 Men songs were being played- newsflash: high schoolers weren't even born when that song came out).

Here's me and one of my shining stars. She's been in two of my classes now, plus I teach her in Sunday School. I really am lucky to have such sweet students.
And in case you are thinking how spinster-y I look in the picture above, take a walk down memory lane of what I wore to MY Prom:
Thanks Heather- I ripped this off your blog. Caleb and I left Prom early, around 10: 45 before things got too crazy. We were scarred forever by the "dancing" we witnessed last year. Plus, Caleb had signed us up to help staff a 5K across the Bay Saturday morning. Here we are bright and early in Point Clear at 7am:

Our job was to tell runners where to turn around. We did so very enthusiastically, I might add. We kind of feel like our energy gave runners a second wind. We also determined that technically we did the 5K since we had to walk out there and walk back.

After the 5K, we had a Girl's Sunday School Painting Party. Fun fun.

In other news, as mentioned in the previous post, this month is dedicated to goat cheese. Last night I made the pizza I wrote about and thought I would share a quick pic. It was really good, and I was surprised to hear Caleb liked it too since it's kind of froo froo.

Looking forward to a weekend in Brandon filled with showers galore for Bailey and John! Whoop!
