I'm obsessed with my dog....

2 leaps.

White Christmas? Yes, Please!

Can you even believe this was our view this morning? Winter Wonderland!
It snowed in Mobile this past February and I was so excited it was PJ's 1st Snow, but all she did was go #2 and run back inside. Not on this Christmas Miracle of a morning! She frolicked to her heart's content, and even swam in the pond (big dummy).
And now for pictures of the feast, which every bit was prepared by my little sis! Pretty impressive spread, eh?

This is a triple layer strawberry cake. Fabulous!
More holiday cheer to come I'm sure. Until then, have a blessed Christmas everyone.

Tacky Christmas Party

Butts Family Portrait, 2010.

Kacie and Stu threw a really fun party last night and I can now add "fried oreo" to my list of foods I have eaten. It was delicious, by the way. The fish stick I thought was a mozzarella stick was not as good. Other fun foods included corn dogs, easy cheese, and many fried delicacies. Party Success.

Thanksgiving! a.k.a. I was one of those crazy people shopping at 3am!

I think the reason this post is so late after Thanksgiving is that I'm still recovering! Not just from the food bender I was on, but the ALL-NIGHT SHOPPING extravaganza. Some tout Black Friday shopping as crazy, but I scoff and ask, "50% off outlet store prices?" YES PLEASE!

So here are some pics of the actual Thanksgiving Day:

Caleb working on the ham

working in those secret spices!!!

My "Thanks Tree" an idea which I stole from Emily Stringer- I think she blogged something like this a few years ago... I've always liked it, and it was a huge success this year. I'm going to save what everyone is thankful for each year and keep hanging them year after year so we can look back and remember all our many blessings.

Oh how I love my Holiday Plates, painted by my friends the day before our wedding. This beautiful plate was painted by Claire Hardin- I love it! Time to swap it out for my Christmas Plate.

I am very proud of my decor I made this year.

We shopping girls took a "Before" picture at 11pm when we left the house for the Foley Outlet's Midnight Madness, then made Caleb take an "After" picture at 6:30 am when we returned. But I don't have a copy of the pics. I will definitely post when I get them. They are funny.

Then it was on to Starkville for some time with the Hoppers. My cousin Bailey and her fiance John stopped by for an engagement session (check out a teaser pic here). While setting up, I asked my Dad and Caleb to sit so I could adjust settings for lighting purposes and in a split second, this is how they posed. Ridiculous:

Frameable....

And then here are some fun family pics to end on.

Happy Holidays everyone!
