6,000 students

Mrs. Mullin, Baker's Drama Teacher is retiring this year after 40 years in the classroom. We did the math, and she has taught an estimated 6,000 kids. That is a small town! Seriously, you cannot go anywhere around town with her without at least a handful of people recognizing her from when they went to school.
When I was first hired at Baker, she was assigned to be my Teaching Mentor. She took me under her wing, and has taught me A LOT.

Here's a few more of her mentees... who threw her this Retirement Party.

And here are all the teachers who showed up for the party in her honor.

A princess crown is a "must" when throwing a party for a Drama Teacher.

Here are the party favors I made. I thought they came out looking pretty cute:)

I also made the flower arrangements seen above and set up the "well-wishes" station seen below.
Only two more weeks of this school year to go! Then I will be on to my summer schedule in which I watch TV all day long. Seriously- that's all I do. And it. is. awesome.

A) you should tell her that she does not look old enough to have taught that long. It's wonderful to age gracefully! (I eat way too many french fries to be able to accomplish that feat.)

B) I love your hair so long again!

C) You did a fantastic job on the favors. My momma (a teacher) would. love. them.

D) I'm so jealous of your summer schedule.
