I Miss the KD House

So I had to run two recommendation letters by the KD House the other day and let me tell you- walking across the old casino carpet and reflecting on the good times brought many a tear to my eyes.
Such good times were had.
Look at what a Gangsta I am! I should definitely relocate my Fubu shirt and "Mo Money" skullcap for school on Monday. I would blend in much better. On the note of school, there has been much improvement during role call. I have now successfully pronounced most of my student's names correctly now. I was going to list out my favorites, but I need to be careful on the blog:)

While I was unburying that last picture from my past, I unearthed some good ones of Caleb. Check out this school pic. Look at that smoldering expression. Ha! Hottie!

And now I'm leaving you with a shot of what I wish I was doing right now:
God only knows where that couch is now.
Have a good week!

Tricia dearest, that "old couch" is the one back in our bedroom. And yes, though it was given new fabric many moons ago, it needs it yet again.
your wonderful mom

Tricia termed that pic "smoldering eyes" and my response was "I was 14 and angry because I had a hairy lip and my parents wouldn't let me shave yet for picture day!"

Gosh, I hate that picture, but whenever it gets brought up, I just remind Tricia of her being in 5th grade, wearing Coke bottle glasses, and loving Bryan Adams' "Everything I Do, I Do it For You". At 11, she loved middle aged soft rock. My sweet wife.

Okay... yall's marriage woes are too funny. Caleb, I must say: rockin' pic. Apparently I still get the zap emails for KD events, and every once in a while, I'll get on there and look at my younger friends and see how much fun they're having... while I'm at work. Isn't that so depressing? I'm glad someone else feels the same way. I miss it sooo much!!! I really am depressed about it sometimes. I'm going to go dab my tears now.

LOVE YOU TRICIA!

this is Laurette...i'm too lazy to change the name display. Oh how I miss veggie wednesday and Patsy Marie Jones. I think I go through a period of mourning every year around this time. My body just thinks it should be grooving to "Love Shack." Oh what good times we had! Shall I remind you of the head trauma I received while lip singing to Meat Loaf. Good times!

My favorite memory of the food at the KD house is when there was frog legs on the menu!

Thanks, Laurette...I will now have Love Shack in my head for the rest of the night! :)
