Flea Update

We just bought the mother of all vacuums and it is really setting Team Flea back. Team Butts will prevail!

I am OBSESSED with sucking up every single one of my little arch-nemesis' into our new Bissel, which has DUAL cyclonic cylinders as well as 12 amps of power, multiple hose attachments, and a hepa filter. LOVE IT. It sure beats the tiny dorm vac I've been using since my freshman year of college. During the initial sweep of the house, the filter was completely filled with dirt, grime and fleas. How disgusting! I had been sweating the lb's off with the little vacuum, which apparently wasn't doing a whole lot.

But obsessed I am- that's for sure. Last night at 11:30 when all was settled in the house, I walked into the hallway to get stuff out of the dryer, when I noticed a few fleas on the hardwood floor. I think they were fleeing (HA!) the bedrooms where Mr. Bissel had gone to town. Despite the fact that it was almost midnight, I said, "Game on Fleas" and starting Mr. Bissel back up. I will win this.

I feel your pain! I was attacked by fleas in the fall. I swear they just appeared and took over like crazy. It was the strangest thing b/c my cat lived inside the previous two years and hadn't even had an opportunity to see a flea let alone start a flea uprising. I blame the previous tenants but the apt complex won't tell me if they had pets. Regardless, you will win the battle! It takes time and patience for sure. I saturated my place with spray and bombs so much I seriously thought I might be poisoning myself haha. Good luck with winning the battle!
