Baker TV Productions!

The Baker football team is 3-0 for the first time since 1984! Whoop! And what's extra fun is that we're doing these broadcasts of the games, so the players can go back and watch their touchdowns and re-live the glory. Here's what I've been up to every Friday night. There are lots of cute pictures of my wonderful students-turned-camera operators, but I don't want to put their full faces on the blog.

This is me and Melody (not a student, but a college kid who wants to go into this for a career and is volunteering). We run the "producing booth" which consists of a TV monitor where we can choose from three different camera shots and also update the score and run commercials. I'm usually the one talking to the camera operator, but since I'm going to be gone next week, she's giving it a try. She did great! She is so cute!
Anonymous shot of a camera operator. Look how professional she looks. I love it! I think if the students weren't enjoying it so much then this would be a total drag for me.
We have our audio manager who truly runs everything since I have zero knowledge of technical stuff. He also built this scaffolding for us on the sideline since there wasn't room for our set-up in the press box. And then we have Coach Williams and Coach Daigle who are our announcers for each game. They are so awesome and take this quite seriously. Coach Williams got a copy of the scouting report last week and studied it so he would have good stuff to talk about.
We were making fun of my faculty shirt because it's a men's small and so the sleeves are made to fit more arm muscle. You can't really tell in the picture, but the sleeves are huge.
 Our view from our scaffolding:
And to end things, a serious shot of the announcers. Divas? Yes. They have requested foosackly's chicken and a t-shirt gun to shoot into the stands.
