My cousin Patrick is a published author!
I think publishing a book is one of the coolest things a person can do. That's him and his two sons on the cover. Pretty exciting!!!!
I know Christmas is a long way off, but I think this book would make a fantastic gift. Krista (his wife) sent out an email that tells a little bit more about the subject matter, and I pasted it below so you can get a better idea of what it's about:
"We are so excited to have Patrick's book, David Had a Dad, completed and
officially published! I know what some of you are thinking – “what book?”
And some of you know the story but the short of it is that Patrick wrote a book
during the year that he was out of coaching in 2009. The book came from a
Bible study on David and his leadership qualities that Patrick has done with his
football players for years. It evolved into a study that he did with our
boys, Bo and Caleb. It's a different take on the traditional story of
David and Goliath and really centers on what kind of dad (Jesse) that David must
have had. We were approached earlier this year about getting it published and we
hope that it now can be used as a great tool for fathers, sons, coaches,
players, and most anyone. (I’m a girl, mom, daughter, and non-athlete and
I learned plenty!)"
