Well, we attended our last Caduceus Ball a.k.a. Med School Prom this past weekend. I think this year was the most fun of them all. When I was getting ready at home, I haphazardly put my curled hair up in a clippy just to brush my teeth, but then realized it looked AMAZING! It was a Prom-Day Miracle. I stuck a few bobby pins in there for good luck and got in the car feeling like a Princess.
Then we arrived and got out of the car and the wind hit. Hair Disaster. Also, I totally missed the memo on how all the cool girls were going to wear short cocktail dresses, not to-the-floor formals. So to sum it up, I looked like a grandma in my long dress and my hair ended up looking TERRIBLE. Ug.
But I sucked it up and ended up having such a great time. I also accidentally got a homeless man kicked out. I thought he was there for Security, so when he asked me to "fetch him a beer" I told him the bar was around back. It wasn't until after he walked over to the bar and police (apparently there was real security there) chased him out that the thought occurred to me that security probably isn't allowed to drink while on duty at a function.

Check out how I'm using my huge clippy to now hold up my long dress. The floor got disgusting so quickly. I'm pretty sure the bottom of my dress is ruined completely. No wonder the cool girls wore short dresses.

The next day, Anna hosted a birthday grill-out, so we all got back together to celebrate with her.

I know I say this every time I write anything about our Med School friends, but we're really going to miss everyone so much!
