Joshua's Adoption Finalization {Happy Butts Day!}

On February 7, 2015, a baby boy was born 7 weeks early in a hospital not a mile from our home.

On February 14, Caleb met Joshua on the surgery table.

On March 6, the adoption agency told us they would bypass their wait-list and work with us for Joshua.

On March 7, with tubes everywhere, we held him close in his hospital room and named him.

Side Note: On March 9, I found out I was pregnant. Craziness ensues.

On March 12, Joshua came home to us.

On October 13, he legally, officially, forever and ever became our son!

We had his court finalization in Birmingham this Tuesday, and while the drive from Mobile and back was exhausting (Caleb is still on nights), it really was such a great day! So many family members were able to be there since it was in Birmingham, and that made the day 100% more special.

 Here we are with the Judge after being sworn in.

She let Abby Bette stamp the Judge's Seal, making it official!
It was so fitting that Abs was the one to do the honor because no one loves Joshua more than her.

 The Butts and The Judge

The Judge remarked that we had the biggest group ever to show up for an adoption finalization. Joshua will always know how much love and support he has!

 The start of his sweet life was really hard and tragic, but God saved him from a heartbreaking situation and gave him a family that loves him completely. The name Joshua means "Our God Saves" and it is our prayer that his life reflects that in all he does.
